We Might Dance ( Girdenwodan part 1)

FAIRY RINGS

The fairy creatures love to dance and they do it in a circle holding hands and intertwining in a farandole from the unbridled rhythm. Fairies dance all moon night from dusk to dawn, but the time spent in their ring can be during seven years (or even centuries). Once you enter the circle you are forced to stay until the end of the dancing party, losing track of time and freedom.

In the luminous circle, tables laden with the most appetizing food and cups of wine or mead appear, tiny creatures surrounded by an aura of light play, dance and feast in joy, while outside the magic circle reality becomes an indistinct fog.

Sometimes the megalithic stones circles are considerated a Fairies Ring. Also called Garden of the Elves the circle of fairies is a circle of mushrooms but also flowers or trampled grass that originates from the typical circle dance of the fairy people.

We Might Dance

(intervista Dark-Room Magazine[1])

Music and text by Anton Brejestovski “We Might Dance” is the first track of Cd Girdenwodan part 1, the magic circle in which the fairy creatures dance, a word composed by Wodan (the god of Germanic paganism, head of the Wild Hunt) and Girden (perhaps from Gordon which in Scottish means “spacious fortress”) which is also the name of the circle dance (whose real name is known only by fairies).

“We firmly believe in the existence of the fairy world. Just as a radio equipment can stop on only one station at a time, as it is tuned to it, we can perceive the existence of a single world, being attuned to it too. But, just as there are dozens of radio stations at the same time in the same room as you are reading these words, there could be endless parallel worlds out there right now. The reasons why we fail to perceive them lie in the fact that we do not yet have an ‘interior tuning’ equipment. Perhaps scientists will invent this equipment in the future? ” (Anton Brejestovski translated from Dark-Room Magazine[1])
